The more reader feedback I get, the better this blog becomes. The purpose of this blog is to serve strip club goers in New Orleans as best as I can. To do that, I need to hear from the customers. Whether you love it or hate, agree completely or vehemently disagree – let us know.

Hey, there is no good review of Little Darlings on Bourbon street. Can you share any information here on the website? Prices, dances, private rooms, etc…?

No problem. I’ve been meaning to get over to Little Darlings but haven’t found time. I’ve only ever been once. The only thing I remember is that it’s not very big and gets crowded on weekends. I think cover was like $5 on a Friday night. I didn’t get a private room but I imagine they’re as “high mileage” as any private room on Bourbon. I’ll try to post a review within the next week.

How is the VIP rooms, are there cameras in them?

I did not notice any cameras in the VIP rooms. You can spot them pretty easily since they’re usually located in the two corners facing the couch you sit on.
The VIP rooms were small. One small couch/love seat and one side table. My biggest complaint was the lighting. There was only one light in the room and the bulb was neon blue, so even at full strength it was pretty dark. It’s on a dimmer and the dancer turned the lights down to the point where I could barely make out her figure. I know some patrons may like that since that increases the chances of “special” services, but I’m a very visual person. If I’m paying a beautiful girl for a private room, I want to see what I’m paying for. I don’t want to miss out on that, but the lighting is so bad that’s kind of what happened. Ask her to tour the VIP rooms if you’re interested; they’ll always show you around if they think you’re interested. Another reason for the dim lighting could be that the curtain is partially transparent with the lights on. The managers are cool with whatever happens in there as long as they can’t see it.

Are sex offenders allowed to work in strip clubs?

I can’t say for certain, but I don’t think there’s any law explicitly forbidding registered sex offenders from working in strip clubs. I think that’s up to the discretion of the club owner. I know there are rules against sex offenders working in places where there are minors, like schools, malls, museums, etc.
I could be wrong, though. It may vary from state to state.

I’ve never been to Passions, but I’ll get on it and get you a review. It’s right across the street from Visions so it’s the same neighborhood.
Here’s what I’ve heard about Passions. There’s more mileage here than any other club. The girls aren’t as attractive as other places. It’s a predominantly black club. The prices are cheaper than anywhere else.
Public opinion doesn’t speak too well on Passions, but it didn’t for Little Darlings either and I was surprised when I went there (the club itself is a shithole, though). I’ll check it out.

I’m going to be in New Orleans in November for the first time, coming down with friends for a Monday night Saints game. My guess is we’d hit a club either Saturday or Sunday night. Should I assume Sunday will probably be better in terms of smaller crowds, or is Sunday just as bad for the Bourbon-area clubs? And if Sunday is quieter, is the quality of girls lower too?

The quality of girls is definitely better on Saturday night. Although November is the beginning of the high time for tourism in New Orleans, Sundays are usually slow. The only clubs I’d consider on Sunday would be either Penthouse (my first choice) or Hustler or Barely Legal for quality girls. If you go on Saturday, you can avoid high priced rip offs like Rick’s, Hustler, and Barely Legal since clubs like Scores, Babe’s, or maybe Temptations will have hot girls. Temptations is pricey but the mileage is usually better. The one good thing about Sunday is the cover is generally free or heavily reduced.

Temptations probably has the best combination of good looking girls and mileage on Bourbon, especially if you get a VIP room. Keep in mind that mileage depends more on the girl than the club. Most girls dance at multiple clubs. There’s no club where every single girl gives a high mileage dance. Temptations has average to above average dancers, and the lap dance rooms and VIP rooms are completely private.
If you’re not necessarily looking for extras but just good two-way contact and grinding, then Babe’s and Scores are also good options. Both have attractive women that give good dances.

I’ve always been able to get what I want at Scores. I had one girl go pretty wild in the shared upstairs room, but I don’t think thats normal. If you get the private suite, be upfront and you can work out an arrangement for just about anything. Temptations and Lipstixx are also “anything’s available” for a price, but I have more fun at Scores.

Hi, I got a question about the tips, and I have never been to a club before, but I read that the tips are usually $5 bills now, instead of $1, is this the normal here? I don’t want to come off as broke, although I am kinda broke, haha, hope you get to this soon snice I am planning on going later today, thanks.

$5 tips are unnecessary. The standard is still single dollar bills.
The setup at Visions is different than other clubs. At Visions, the bar and the stage are the same thing. You sit at the bar/stage and girls dance for each customer one by one. The dance for each individual customer lasts for about 15 seconds. There’s no reason to tip any more than $1 per girl at Visions unless you really like that girl and want a dance from her (tipping $2 or more gets their attention).
At Penthouse, if you’re sitting at the stage (also called the tip rail), you should tip at least one dollar. More than a dollar if she’s really working it up there or if she gives you special attention. $5 bills (or more) are only used to convince the girls to visit your table before the other customers (although this isn’t guaranteed). The top earning girls in the club go fast so if you see one you like – pull the trigger.

I will be visiting New Orleans for the first time and will have limited time to find a club that suits my taste, so I’m hoping you can help. Keepin in mind that I primarily looking for Caucasian women, full nude private dances (if those actually exist here?), and a place that will let me get in and out, while getting a really hot time, for under… $150-ish. What place would you recommend?

Fully nude dances are *technically* illegal in Louisiana. If you want fully nude, you’ll need a (fully) private room. The going rate for private/champagne rooms on Bourbon Street is about $300 for the half hour. The least expensive private room is at Visions, which is in New Orleans East. If you’re a tourist, you’ll DEFINITELY want to take a cab out there, even if you did rent a car. Party Rooms at Visions start at $150 for the half hour (or 20 minutes if they decide to cut time) and are completely private. A lot will also have to do with when, and what time, you head out. Weekends are crazy on Bourbon. The clubs get super busy, and unless you’re in a group, it can be hard to get a girl’s attention. Especially around midnight.
If you’re looking for primarily Caucasian women, you’ll want to stick to the higher-end clubs. Penthouse Club and Rick’s Cabaret have mostly white dancers. Hustler Club and Barely legal, I’d say, are predominantly white as well. Deja Vu and Babe’s Cabaret are pretty heavily white, too. Little Darlings is an all black club, so you won’t want that. Lipstixx and Stiletto’s are predominantly black, but have some white girls. Temptations and Scores are pretty evenly mixed between white girls and ethnic girls. Rick’s Sporting Saloon just sucks, so don’t go there.
It’s fun to have much fun at Rick’s Cabaret without dropping a few hundred (the place is insanely overpriced), so I wouldn’t recommend there. Penthouse Club is also pricey once you factor in cover, (mandatory) drinks, possible dancer drinks + tips, and other miscellaneous costs. You may be able to get some decent action in the semi-private room if you get an hour ($375 last time I checked), but it’s tough for them to do fully nude since there’s no door. My personal favorite is Penthouse, but the girls here look for high rollers who will drop thousands and just lap dances. Same with Rick’s Cabaret and Hustler Club (Hustler is the worst).
If you go to Temptations or Scores – you’ll find a girl willing to do fully nude. It’ll come down to price, though. Champagne rooms are $350 there.
Considering all factors – dancer ethnicity, price, and mileage – I’d say either Babe’s if you want to stay on Bourbon or Visions if you want to venture out. Drinks at Babe’s are expensive, but the dancers over there are pretty chill and you may be able to work something out. As for Visions, don’t be scared off by what you read about the surrounding neighborhood. Just stay at the club (do NOT going wandering around) and you’re perfectly fine. There will be some clubs on Bourbon advertising free cover; stop in and see if there’s anything you like. If not, get out before having to buy a drink.

If we’re talking about mileage in private rooms, Little Darlings. If we’re just talking about regular lap dances, they’re the same. I always found both clubs use regular lap dances to sell customers on VIP rooms. Don’t get me wrong, the mileage isn’t bad for lap dances, but they’re not crazier than anywhere else.
What’s interesting is that the stage dances at both of these clubs are terrible. No energy, no interaction … and not much fun.

I’m betting that Bourbon is going to be absolutely insane. All of downtown will be. The only worthwhile off-Bourbon club is Visions (in New Orleans East – about 10 minutes from downtown/CBD). Visions is packed on weekends and it’s a locals’ club, so most of the top girls have regulars that consume all of their time. The good thing about Visions is that they’ll likely have tons of dancers on shift through SB weekend; the bad thing is if you don’t like what you see when you get there (or if it’s too crowded), you basically have to turn around and go back downtown. Word of advice: take a cab. The neighborhood isn’t as bad as others say it is, but you don’t want to be wandering around NO East at night without a clue of where you are.
Wherever you go – be prepared to spend mad cash. Strippers from all over the country will fly in for SB weekend, and they’re looking to make money fast. Maybe stick with some of the lesser known clubs here: Scores, Babe’s, Temptations, Rick’s Sporting Saloon (further down Bourbon away from Canal Street). Penthouse, Rick’s Cabaret, Hustler Club, Barely Legal, Deja Vu, and the other clubs that are national chains will be packed since tourists will go there automatically. Also remember to check out other stuff – there’s more to NOLA than strip clubs. Happy clubbing and good luck!

You’ll be fine. There should be a large crowd during SB weekend since most locals will stay the hell away from downtown. The problem with Visions is that it’s difficult for them to manage insanely large crowds. The lap dance rooms fill up and you’ve got to wait in line. That ties up the dancers – since they’re occupied and can’t dance on stage or talk with other customers. Keep in mind that Mardi Gras is also around this time.
If you’re looking for good mileage on Bourbon, stick with Temptations, Scores, Lipstixx and maybe Babe’s.
While here check out the WWII museum (or just the movie theater – it’s cool as hell). The American Sector restaurant is pretty good, too. If you’re looking to go out to regular bars, maybe check out Magazine Street. The Bulldog and the Balcony are two pretty good spots. The Republic is another cool place on South Peters (warehouse district – near downtown). If you need some good restaurants, I can help you out there. Most tourists hang out near Jackson Square. There’s lots of local artists, cafes, and other touristy stuff.
Do NOT do any of the bus tours. The people guiding them are idiots. It’s funny, the city recently wanted to require that historical bus tours be able to prove that what they’re saying is historically accurate – and they’re fighting it: http://bit.ly/w5bbVH. Also, they are no Cajun people in NOLA (they live in Acadiana, which is near Lafayette and spans from Lake Charles to New Iberia); if you see any “Cajun experiences” tour, it’s pure bullshit. The coolest cemeteries are Greenwood (http://www.greenwoodnola.com/) and Lake Lawn in Metairie (http://www.lakelawnmetairie.com/location/about/cemetery.html).
What stuff do you typically like to do? Art? Museums? Bars? Shop/antiquing? Sight see? Music? Let me know and I’ll give you some more recommendations.

Yeah – I felt silly for not visiting the WWII museum and definitely want to hit that next time. Wow – with your list of recommendations I’ll have a busy trip! That’s great, though.
Cemeteries…hadn’t explored that but sounds fascinating.
So, the bar scene is what I gravitate to but I’m not in to loud/crazy and really enjoy a good microbrew. By the way, I had never had Abita until last month (I know, I know…pretty sad, right?). Loved it.
And of course there’s live music. I’m willing to brave the crowds in the Quarter for a good blue’s band, preferably not so loud that I can’t carry on a conversation, though!

There are three: Little Darlings, Passions and She Shes. Passions and She Shes are both in New Orleans East; Little Darlings is on Bourbon. I’ve been to Little Darlings. They hustle hard and pretty much anything you’re looking for is on the table. The girls vary in attractiveness … a lot, but there are some cute ones on busy nights like Friday and Saturday. The club itself is shitty, dark and the private room kinda suck. I’ve never been to Passions, but hear it’s a straight-up brothel. The club is REALLY shitty (the stage is some portable table that you’d find in a kindergarten classroom). The VIP rooms are tiny booths that look like old time telephone booths. The hustle there is hard (but, from what I’ve heard, not quite like Little Darlings) and the mileage is legendary. I can’t comment on She Shes. It’s on 9000 Chef Menteur Highway; that’s all I know. They don’t have a website, but do have an old Twitter account (https://twitter.com/SheShesNoLa). The few reviews of the site seem favorable. Maybe somewhere to check out. Club Eden has improved noticeably, but it’s not worth the trip all the way to Metairie (not worth the time or cost of cab). It’s a clean club (no extras inside the club). The girls are decent, but some days the club is just SLOW. Too much of a risk to gamble wasting away your night. Stick to Bourbon. A lot of cool stuff is going on downtown. Check out Little Gem Saloon on Poydras & Loyola if you get a chance (jazz club, not strip club). Supposedly they spent $9 million renovating the place. There’s another bar called Barcadia on Tchoupitoulas & Lafayette that’s kinda cool. Just opened. Walk-Ons is an awesome sports bar; there booths actually have beer taps at your table that you order from. Have fun!

Cool – thanks. I don’t know though…tried Bourbon last night and it was such a madhouse — just not my scene. So many tourists (yeah, I’m one of them) that mileage doesn’t seem to be on any of the worker’s minds. I’m hearing visions isn’t that much less crowded but your previous reviews keep me wanting to head out there.
I didn’t get to the jazz bar you recommended but I did find a relatively quiet place on St. Louis…can’t remember the name but it suited my taste.

Bourbon is absolutely nuts right now. I’m not sure how crowded Visions is now. It usually gets crowded on weekends but I’m sure they’ve got more girls than usual for Super Bowl. Your mileage will probably be better at Visions, but be aware that it’s a locals club so many dancers have regular customers that will come in and occupy the their time. It’s a gamble. Enjoy the rest of your stay in NOLA!

On Saturday night – Visions by far. Eden is actually pretty slow on Saturday night (usually). Visions will be crowded and have tons of dancers, but the top girls may be tied down with their regular customers.

Just got back from visiting the strip clubs. I went to Club Eden I didn’t feel like fighting the Bourbon St crowd, Visions was to crowded. I found a cute lil spinner tonight at Club Eden took her VIP. I will go back to Club Eden next Saturday for two reasons…very laid back and I’m gonna make that cutiepie my regular. I put this review out there to say give Club Eden a chance.

Absolutely. I’ve had good experiences on Saturday nights at Club Eden, but it’s (in my experience) too spotty to give my stamp of approval. I’m glad you had a good time. We desperately need better local strip clubs in New Orleans, and more of ’em.

I agree most strip clubs in Nola suck. Man the Penthouse Club was my favorite but as of late its looks like its going down. The Hustler Club has better girls then the Penthouse. Club.

I went Tuesday night. I was so sorry I did. The girls looked awful and they are rude because no one is getting dances. The hustler club girls are hot but such a tourist trap. It was so bad at the penthouse house club I went to the Vu for 2 Tuesday drinks.

This is EXACTLY why New Orleans needs better local strip clubs (away from downtown). Many locals don’t want the hassle of going down to Bourbon, fighting the crowds, traffic and finding somewhere to park. Visions has too many regulars on Saturdays that take all of the best dancers immediately.

Headed down to NOLA Apri 4th weekend for two different bachelor parties (perfect storm).
From what I’ve read, it looks like Score’s should be the first stop, but may want to save it for the best night? What do you suggest for a Thurs-Fir-Sat combo?

Thursday: I would try Penthouse on Thursday. It’s going to be mad packed on Friday and Saturday, but Penthouse should have a good lineup on Thursday.
Friday: Scores on Friday. Scores/Stiletto’s/Temptations/Lipstixx get better lineups as the crowds get better. Believe it or not, some clubs are much better during the day since they draw a higher paying clientele that doesn’t go out late and doesn’t like crowds. Scores likes crowds.
Saturday: Babe’s. I personally think it’s now the second-best club on Bourbon. Keep in mind this is NOT an extras club (they strongly discourage it), so if that’s what you want stick with Lipstixx, Stiletto’s, Temptations … or even Scores.
One fun idea could be Little Darlings, just to freak him out a bit. The girls there are super aggressive and openly proposition sex, so I could see that being entertaining for a bachelor party. Also keep in mind Little Darlings is a predominantly black strip club – if that matters one way or another. Temptations has some cool rooms upstairs reserved for larger parties, so you might at least ask about those.
All in all, remember that the best part of Bourbon Street is bar (and strip club) hopping. There are tons within just a few blocks. Don’t be too militant and try to plan everything out – just go with whatever happens. Good luck!

Penthouse wasn’t packed when I went on Tuesday night. Sunday through Tuesday is usually tough for strip clubs, particularly Monday. Things pick up on Wednesday. Thursday is basically part of the weekend.
If you go earlier in the week, I’d say you have your choice of any club in the city. If you go on a Thursday, you should consider Scores or Babe’s; Penthouse and the Hustler clubs could be crowded. I’d just bar hop. If one place is dead (which is inevitable on the weeknights), just move location.

Your rite Club Eden is spotty. The girls are way to AGGRESSIVE. I won’t go back. Looks like Visions will become my local hang out. Glad to see the Penthouse Club come back to life.

If you establish yourself as a regular at Visions, you will notice some perks. Unlike Bourbon clubs, Visions doesn’t have a high turnover rate of employees. They’ve had the some of the same bartenders/bouncers/managers for many years. So, they will start to recognize you. The bartenders will always great you, the security guys will be nicer, and if the dancers notice that management thinks you’re safe – they may even be a little more forthcoming on extras.

Man I went to Scores tonight. I LOVE this place. Hot girls, no SHOT girls and you what happens in the no camera rooms. Only issue the club is small and gets packed.
I did stop at Temptations, will not go back. Didn’t have a gr8 experience.

I wish more clubs would ditch the shot girls. They’re OK if they’re not being pushy, but I hate when a girl sits down with you and a shot girl instantly appears. A lot of clubs actually pressure the dancers to buy the shots when they’re with customers since the shots are so profitable. The whole “yeah – let’s both do shots together!” line gets old quickly…

For a Friday night the place was empty. I walked in and this black girl was like your mine…I was like leave me alone then she hits me on my back says… change your attitude. I was like leave me alone…then said good bye you need to leave. I will never go back.

Knock Penthouse down another notch. After all the good reviews of this place, I was really disappointed. Forget this place, don’t go! It’s just like every other tourist trap French Quarter club. Yes, some the girls are hot but their attitudes are terrible. Never ever give Katarina any of your money. She has dark hair and asian looking eyes even though she is russian. Worst experience ever in a club. Did the upstairs, 20 mins, $125, she gave me about a 1 minute lap dance and I could swear the bouncer cut it short. She told me to stop grabbing her breasts, I barely bumped them. Then after I wouldn’t touch her because she was clearly nuts, she called me weird and strange. All she did was sit next to me and talk. I’ve never gone to management to complain about a dancer but I did this time. Total waste of money and time. Really upset after this experience. I had thousands to spend and this dumb girl ruined it. Also, the dancers really weren’t astronomically better looking than other nearby clubs. Some were old, some had fat on their stomachs. I guess this place has really gone downhill after a good year or so. The dancing on the main stage stinks because these chicks are so stuck up, they feel like the don’t even have to dance in front of you on the rail. There’s enough dummies there that will tip for no reason. Sometimes 3-6 girls were just standing by the bar not approaching or talking to anyone. The only chance you have in this club is if you’re a really good looking guy, otherwise the dancers will straight up ignore you. The average and below average girls will talk to you, but I can get average looking girls in a much cheaper, friendlier club with at least full contact lap dances. Again, don’t fall for the positive reviews of this place, I think the club might be writing them.

It’s unfortunate that so many people are having negative experiences at Penthouse lately, because I can attest that the club – at one time – warranted the glowing reviews. Today … things are hot and cold. I don’t know if hiring standards have slipped or that other clubs on Bourbon have improved and now Penthouse no longer has a lock on the best girls.
Slow season is upon us. June through September is dreadful for tourism in New Orleans, and strip clubs suffer when tourism suffers. We’ll soon see what kind of club Penthouse is…

Man I think im going to have to stay away from the strip clubs this summer. Club Eden sucks, not a great or even good local club. Visions set up sucks…all the girls do is walk the bar and ask for tips.
Scores is ok, but its not like the SCORES in New York. GUY owns this club…has the four club that stink on Bourbon. Temptations, Scores, Lipsixx and ick Stillotes.
Now the Penthouse Club…they are crashing. Can I just find a good local strip club I can enjoy? We have none. HELP.

The rate of turnover for any strip club on Bourbon is high. However, July/August/September is horrendous for tourism in New Orleans. July is okay (just okay … definitely not good), since you’ve got the 4th and Essence Fest. Maybe things will pick up – but I wouldn’t count on it. The clubs will improve in October. The summertime always sucks.

I have been to Visions numerous times over the years, but have never been aware of “party rooms”. Where are those located?

The entrance to the Party Rooms is to the left of the entrance to the VIP rooms (or the $30/song rooms). I think they still go for $150/20 minutes, although most dancers will request an additional tip.
They are in a separate room and fully private.

As far as male strip clubs go, your options are limited. I’m not very familiar with the male strip club scene in NOLA and I’ve never been to one, but here’s what I can tell you.
There are two gay bars, Oz (link) and The Corner Pocket (link), that are both gay strip clubs. Then there’s LA Hard Bodies (link), which is a male strip club that caters to women – but they also get gay customers. It’s on the West Bank, which means you’re going to have to either take a cab or drive if you’re staying downtown.
Your other option might be to have a stripper service to send dancers to your hotel room (or wherever you’re staying). Again, options for women are limited but I was able to dig up a few possibilities:

Curious what your opinion is on the best clubs to hit for daytime visits? Or at least being able to show up at 4 or 5 and have at least a couple dancers around? I usually go to penthouse, but it’s a drag to wait around till 8 for more than two dancers, and usually those two are solidly b or c team.

Afternoons are hard to predict. Especially during summer. Actually, with Essence Fest going on this weekend, Bourbon Street should be pretty packed.
Visions Men’s Club is really the only strip club that draws a consistent crowd throughout the day, but even Visions has been kind of off lately. Thursdays and Fridays aren’t bad during the day; Saturdays are usually good (at Visions). Most of the strip clubs on Bourbon, that I know of, don’t even open until around 6pm. Maybe Hustler or Barely Legal? I know those places are total rip-offs, but that might be your best bet during the 4pm-5pm hour.

Just got back from NOLA with a few guys. Your site was a big help before we went. Obviously everything was slow. Went to Visions Monday night , very dead but cheap drinks and limited talent but found one i liked and got some good mileage in the VIP 30 mins for only $100 to club and $150 to girl plus tip. Went to Lipstixx late one afternoon, the place is truly a shithole, didn’t get offered anything special but at least they had 2-1 beers. no talent at all, but i think it was because of the time, as we were leaving and the girls were coming it to work the evening it seemed to improve. Gets the award for the worst bathroom ive ever been in and ive been in some bad ones. Lastly went to Stilettos wed night and it was a great time, decor not pretty but plenty of attractive girls willing to do pretty much anything upstairs for 15 min for $200, didnt even have to spring for the 30 min rooms. Very reasonable and we all took advantage. Drinks were crazy price for a place like this, but at least no cover. Overall i think we did pretty well, places were very slow cause of time of year and during the week but in some ways i think it helped because prices were very reasonable for what we got. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday … dreadful. Keep in mind that it’s not only summertime, but it’s hurricane season too. I’d say August 15 – September 15 is the worst of it. Also, the day shifts are terrible no matter where you go during summer.
I’m glad you were able to find places you liked. I agree that Stiletto’s needs a reality check if they think they can get away with charging the same drink prices as Penthouse and Rick’s, but I guess they gotta make money somehow. It’s good to hear that Stiletto’s still runs a loose ship, though.

I decided to go to a local club last night. This Labor Day week isn’t my cup of tea for the French Quaters. It was either Club Eden or Visions. Club Eden what a joke. I went to Visions I can see why us locals love it. The girls looked hot. Also this is the club for extras. I had a great time..I think Visions will become a local hang out for me. Visions clearly kicks Club Edens ass for local clubs.

I wasn’t strip clubbing in the ’90s, and really not much of the 2000s. I can’t say for certain, but I think it has/had more to do with the club itself rather than the era. People are more likely to get dressed at Penthouse or Rick’s Cabaret than Stiletto’s. There have always been dive clubs, where people dress casual, and there have always been the upscale “gentlemen’s clubs” where people would sometimes go after work and conduct business. Today, I rarely see anyone in a suit or tie. I’ll see people where button-down dress shirts, but never more than that. I think I’ve seen a couple of people wearing jackets, but it’s uncommon.
I understand dress codes have relaxed over the past couple of decades, and this is especially true in New Orleans. We used to have tons of fine restaurants that enforced dress codes. Today, I think Galatoire’s is the only restaurant that still mandates that men wear jackets. I can only assume strip clubs are the same. Sorry I can’t be more help.

Heheh… gotta get back to NOLA some time soon to see life after the LD takedown. IMO the “Local Chain” could probably use some streamlining and/or maybe a sharper segmenting of that little empire (do you really need so many similarly rated venues within two blocks? Well, DejaVu/Flynt had four, now three, so it seems to be the favored trend, or at least a way to sit on the valuable B-St.-address licenses and leases). At least The Guy could take advantage of running so many joints to take one at a time briefly offline for upkeep and improvements (that some of them needed badly last time I was there).
You have mentioned elsewhere the high prices on Bourbon down to and including water at the price of beer — Would you say that this may be a case where the clubs on Bourbon mostly seeing themselves serving a tourist/conventioneer trade and their big paydays being associated with specific events and dates during the October-May season (Halloween, NYE, Football Playoffs, MG, JazzFest, etc.), have not much motivation to build and encourage return regular business?

If any tourist comes to NOLA visit Ricks, or Penthouse. Avoid the nasty rip off clubs like Temptations, Scores, Lipstixxx, Stilettos and Centerfolds. They charge high prices ..,they think they are on the league of the nicer clubs sorry they aren’t. If visit them , you will be sorry that you did . Take it from a local !

February is a great time to visit strip clubs in NOLA. The strippers are hotter and strip clubs have fuller rotations of dancers. Mardi Gras Day (Fat Tuesday) is on March 4, but the parades begin much earlier than that. I think the parades start around the middle of February, with the bigger ones later in the month. The daytime (or evening) is tough, though. Penthouse Club doesn’t open ’til 6:00pm. Rick’s Cabaret used to open at 2:00pm (and earlier on Fridays for lunch), but I think they don’t open until 6:00pm either. Stiletto’s and Temptations usually open around 2:00pm-4:00pm, but they might open earlier (maybe 11:00am) during peak season. Rick’s Saloon also opens at 6:00pm. I’m not sure about Scores; I think they open later.
I’m pretty sure Hustler Club opens during lunch hour … that, or Barely Legal. Those places aren’t great for high mileage, but you’ll get a decent lap dance. I’m pretty sure Babe’s Cabaret opens at 11:00am (but maybe not on Sunday – Tuesday). That might be your best bet. And that new place Centerfolds opens early, so you might try there for some good mileage.
Sorry I can’t help more. I rarely go to strip clubs during the day and am unsure of which ones still open early.

I’d say so. I went last weekend and the talent level was off the charts. Crowded as hell with almost nowhere to sit and no open tables, though. If you’re looking for the strip club with the most attractive dancers – then Penthouse is your best bet. Rick’s Cabaret follows second and probably Babe’s Cabaret third.
December is a good month for NOLA strip clubs. We should see the talent level rise everywhere on Bourbon.

Depends what you mean by mileage. As far as contact goes, it doesn’t stand out from the rest of the clubs. Sure, they’ll grind and maybe let you touch (but not always), but there are better clubs. Extras? Not really, no. Most of the girls will not offer extras. Management is pretty laid back, but most of the girls prefer to do normal lap dances and VIPs without getting too dirty.

It really depends more on the dancer than the club. But, if you’re looking for more mileage than usual from a standard lap dance, I’d go with either Stiletto’s or Scores. Maybe even Visions still (the $30 dances, not the $20 dances). Understand that every dancer on Bourbon does regular lap dances in order to sell VIPs. That’s just how the hustle works over there. But, in general… Scores, Temptations, Lipstixx and Stiletto’s will give you more mileage than places like Hustler Club, Barley Legal, Rick’s Cabaret/Saloon, etc.
Oh, and Passions if you like black girls.

Penthouse rooms do have doors ($550 an hour) these are located on the 3rd floor that u can’t see from the entrance floor and are very large equipped with a pole and personal choice of music … A lot of girl will go the extra mile for a tip or even if you just ask Also there are no cameras in any of the rooms there. Considering how much for the VIP rooms for the other clubs on bourbon and the quality of girls. Many like my self would rather pay the entrance fee for this place than enter free to a few of the other clubs. I’ve been out to Bourbon after Saints games, but not to strip clubs. The crowd will depend on how late the game was. If it’s a noon game, then no. A SNF game, maybe so. It also depends on how late you go to the strip clubs. If you go after midnight, the crowds from the game will probably die down by then. But around 10 o’clock? Different story.
Also, keep in mind that football season is NOLA’s transition into tourist season. Right now… it’s rainy, hot, summer just ended and kids are back in school, and it’s still hurricane season. Once we roll into October, you’ll see an increase in strip club crowds and strippers. Sundays will be much better then.

Rick’s, Hustler Club and Barely Legal (I find) tend to stick with more petite dancers, or shy away from overly curvy dancers. That’s just my experience. Scores, Temptations, et al have curvier dancers (on average) and have usually have a better ethnic mix than Penthouse and Rick’s (although I’ve seen some pretty hot Hispanic girls at Penthouse). Then again, you’ll find some skinny girls at Scores, Stiletto’s, etc. that look like they’re addicted to coke. I would start at the “local clubs” on Bourbon and then work your way to Penthouse if you don’t like your options.
And every strip club is overpriced. When the cheapest place has bottled water selling for $5 – it’s all overpriced. Visions is your best bet in that department ($3 bottled water—a steal!), but you’ll have to brave New Orleans East.

Not really any strip clubs designated for fat girls in NOLA or Metairie, but places like Visions, Stiletto’s, Lipstixx, etc. don’t really discriminate against thick/curvy/heavy dancers. Penthouse, Rick’s, Hustler, and Barely Legal want tone and fit dancers; they won’t hire a girl they deem ‘too fat’.
You’ll find girls on both ends of spectrum at Visions: fat girls and skinny girls (some who are too skinny, IMO). Also, I’m not sure if you have a preference for white or black, but Passions Men’s Club has many bigger black girls.

Not weird at all. You’d be surprised how many men have the same preferences as you: curvier white strippers.
Your best bet downtown (on Bourbon St.) is Deja Vu, Scores, Stiletto’s, Lipstixx, Temptations and Centerfolds. Clubs like Rick’s Cabaret, Penthouse, and Hustler Club are picky when it comes to dancer weight. Rick’s Cabaret and Penthouse Club are ultra strict on tattoos and weight; they don’t want any dancers that are too curvy. (They would put it this way… Jennifer Lawrence is fine, but Kim Kardashian — too curvy.)
Babe’s Cabaret, Larry Flynt’s Barely Legal, and Rick’s Saloon are a little less picky. But all three clubs have mostly fit, white dancers. The other clubs I mentioned get the leftovers. Some of their dancers look good, others… not so much. On some nights, you won’t find too many white dancers there. But the good news is that none of those clubs have a cover most nights (save for Friday or Saturday), so you can move on if you don’t like what you see. You’ll find something you like.
Off Bourbon, the only worthwhile club we’ve got is Visions Men’s Club. Visions has variety, curvy girls, thin girls, black girls, white girls… you name it. It’s worth a visit if the Bourbon clubs don’t satisfy. Good luck!

I’d love to see you do something on women that attend these clubs. I’ve seen quite a few girls in Nola strip clubs and I’ve wondered if their experiences are different than mine. It looks to me like the dancers generally get more touchy with women at the stage. Are the dancers more / less touchy with a girl? What kind of “extras do they get? Do they get charged the same? Is there a couples dance? I’d be curious to hear your take.

I’ve also wondered about (and asked) this same question, and I’ve gotten different responses. But this is what I’ve heard:
Many dancers hate when other girls come into the club with their boyfriends, husbands, friends, etc. They think the girlfriends/wives are at the club to keep the guys from spending too much money, or spending foolishly. And the dancers are right. Unless your wife/girlfriend is into swinging (or threesomes), most will put a stop to expensive VIPs and private rooms. Since dancers make the bulk of their money with private rooms, you can see why they’d have a problem with this. Strippers don’t want to vie for the attention of customers, especially with the customer’s significant other; it’s often a roadblock to more income. But it’s not always the case, though. Some girls are more than happy to spend their boyfriend’s money recklessly, no matter where they are.
Other dancers feel the female customers are judging them the whole time (specifically girlfriends of other customers) and give off a weird vibe. At least that’s what I’ve been told.
Strip clubs used to ban single women from entry, thinking it was an angry wife or girlfriend looking to catch their husband/boyfriend red-handed. I don’t think they can (legally) do that now. (Same reason bars didn’t have phones (before the days of cell phones) … they didn’t want wives calling up and telling their husband to leave the bar and come home.)
As for some dancers getting more grabby with female customers – I think that’s a ploy to get more tips from male customers. Some men bring their wives to the strip clubs hoping the strippers will do all sorts of freaky things to them, and that drives more tips. Some dancers make a lot of money from couples and will do couples dances, and others don’t want to bother with it.
From my knowledge, female customers don’t get any kind of discounts or special perks. I’ve gone to strip clubs with female friends and we’ve been charged the same. Unlike regular bars, where the goal is to get as many female customers as possible (preferably young and hot), strip clubs don’t want female customers that badly. They’re likely to spend less, much less (particularly on lap dances). Lonely, single men are their bread and butter, so there’s no incentive to give special offers to women.

In New Orlenas in November and looking for recomendations but have a weird fetish hoping you can help. Two weird fetishes

1.) If you like thick and/or heavier women, you might actually try somewhere like Artist Cafe or Dixie Divas. They’re both located on Iberville, about a block off Bourbon. Normally I stay away from both clubs, but I’m not big on heavier women. The majority of girls there will be white and will be older, but they’re definitely not the best looking.
Otherwise, I’d direct you to Scores, Tempations, Stiletto’s, or Lipstixx. However, these four clubs are about 50% black (or more), and some of the girls are pencil thin, so maybe that’s not what you’re looking for. Penthouse, Rick’s, Hustler, Barely Legal, Deja Vu, etc. won’t hire bigger girls, so don’t waste your time there. Visions may have some, but it’s all the way out in New Orleans East (unless you don’t mind the cab fare).
I’ve never been to the Asian Massage Parlors, but know people who have, and they say most of those girls are older and a little heavy. So if that’s your thing – there are a bunch downtown. Hollywood Spa, Green Door, etc. Also, they’re mostly Vietnamese girls, so keep that in mind.
2.) I understand wanting to get to the club during an off time, but there problem with the downtown strip clubs is they’re all on Bourbon Street. Bourbon is crowded until well after midnight, so even if the club is empty, people will see you walk in. Not that anyone on Bourbon cares who goes into strip clubs, but if you’re worried then be expecting that. If you want to avoid the club’s peak hours, then either go early (before 9pm) or late (after 1am). I wouldn’t be embarrassed at all. People like strip clubs, as evidenced by the plethora of them on a single street in NOLA.

Dixie Divas and Artist Cafe are both traditional strip clubs, yes. If those don’t have what you want, I’d suggest walking down Bourbon and checking out Stiletto’s and Temptations (they’re next door to each other) as well as Lipstixx and Scores (which are near each other). Those clubs usually have free admission on weekdays, so you’ve got nothing to lose by checking in. There are two other places called Big Daddy’s World Famous Love Acts and Live Sex Acts (yes, both are VERY skeevy)… will probably have older, heavier girls.
The Asian Massage Parlors (aka “rub and tugs”) are… complicated. You walk in, and you’re just paying for a massage and table shower. HOWEVER, any extras beyond that could change everything. Yes, full service is available. Happy endings are available. They are not required. The massage / table shower is $60. Any other “activities” cost extra. I have never heard of any stings or arrests of customers at the AMPs downtown. Some of the owners of AMPs in New Orleans East and Kenner have gotten in trouble, but none of the customers (to my knowledge). If it makes you uncomfortable, don’t do it. But there are illicit things that go on in strip clubs too, just like in the AMPs.

I’ve never stayed longer for more than five minutes at Big Daddy’s. But what the doorman told me… every 20 minutes or so, a couple would get on stage on start “getting it on with each other.” I don’t know if anyone had sex up on stage or not, because I left shortly after I walked in. I will tell you they had a bed on the main stage. It’s dark and dingy inside, with those cheap, metal folding chairs you’d find in an auditorium. I can’t remember if I’m confusing Big Daddy’s with another place on Bourbon, Live Sex Acts. They’re both free admission, but drinks are ridiculous ($7 or $8 min. for one drink).
I’m not sure if any club specifically hires older and/or heavier women. The top-end clubs on Bourbon (Penthouse, Rick’s, etc.) get their pick on the bunch, and draw the younger, slimmer, more attractive dancers. Then clubs like Hustler, Babe’s Cabaret, and Barely Legal draw the best dancers that weren’t taken by Penthouse and Rick’s. The rest of the bunch gets what’s left over, and that’s where you’ll find the older, heavier girls (the girls that the other clubs don’t want).
I don’t think it’s weird to ask what kind of girls the clubs have before going in, but many of the clubs are free admission, so you can walk in and see for yourself. The clubs that do have a cover (Penthouse, Hustler Club, etc.) probably won’t have many older or heavier girls, but the doorman will probably lie just to get you to pay admission. Same if you call the club ahead of time; they’re not very helpful on the phone.

It’s not rare, but the industry tends to force out older strippers. (Unless she’s hot and in great shape.)
Most customers want younger girls. The girls over 40 won’t get as many stage tips, won’t sell as many dances, etc., so they end up leaving the industry for something else. You’ll find older dancers at the lower-end clubs on Bourbon, like Stiletto’s and Lipstixx. You may also find older dancers at Visions. Some girls have no alternative to dancing so they’ll go to whichever club will take them.

I usually recommend the Penthouse Club for couples. Rick’s is nice as well, but it’s just overpriced. Screw Rick’s. Penthouse Club is my recommendation.

Trying to plan a bachelor party in a few weeks and was looking for an update on a good club to check out. Probably only getting one shot at it since he won’t do a club two nights in a row. What are your suggestions?

It depends on what you’re looking for. Are you looking to buy one of the VIP/bachelor party packages and get a reserved table/room, or are y’all just heading out to the clubs? I can’t comment specifically on bachelor party packages in NOLA, since every one I’ve been to has been outside the city. Generally they’re just a waste of money, except that Penthouse Club and Rick’s Cabaret get super crowded on Friday/Saturday nights, and you’re not always guaranteed a table or even somewhere to sit. Reserving a table ensures you don’t have to stand the whole time. How much “fun” are y’all looking to have? Some groups just want to pound beers and look at naked chicks. Some want dances for the bachelor. Some want aggressive, very hands-on dances for the bachelor. And some want more than just a dance. If it’s not the last one, I’d say Penthouse Club is (still) your best bet. I haven’t been to Bourbon much in the last six months, but Penthouse still has MUCH better dancers than the other clubs. Hustler Club and Barely Legal are two popular bachelor party spots, but I hate both clubs. If you’re looking for more mileage, I’d head for Lipstixx, Scores, Temptations, and Stiletto’s. I know those clubs just got busted for prostitution and fined, but they haven’t changed much. Just make sure you arrange everything with the dancer before committing to the champagne rooms.
Strip clubs after Mardi Gras can be good. The strippers make a ton of money, so some of them take the rest of the week off. But you should still see a good lineup. Good luck and happy clubbing!

Are there any clubs that are female friendly? I’m a bi-woman and want to experience the clubs but not get treated like a tag along girlfriend. Basically I want to have the same experience as any guy would and not have some timid “we treat girls differently because they can’t handle it.”

I would look at places like Penthouse Club and Rick’s Cabaret. I’ve seen lots of female guests at both clubs. Hustler Club also has women customers, but that place sucks, and the dancers will be more interested in selling your boyfriend an obscenely overpriced VIP (and might see you as a hindrance to that). Visions is pretty easy going and I see female guests there from time to time.
I would stick with Penthouse. The dancers are experienced with female customers, especially first-time female customers. (I’m not sure if you’ve been to other clubs before.) A lot of men who want their girlfriends/wives to come out to the clubs with them will take them to Penthouse first. Penthouse is the nicest and cleanest club and has the best looking dancers, so that’s the best gauge to see if they’ll like the clubs or not.
I’ve heard that some clubs will refuse entry to single women with the idea that it’s an angry wife/girlfriend looking for their husband/boyfriend. I don’t know if any clubs here do that, but I’ve heard it happens in other cities.
I think you’ll be fine. You sound like you’ve got a great attitude, and it’ll be appreciated. There are women who are dragged along by their boyfriends and they (the girlfriends) really don’t want to be there, and it shows. And then there are girlfriends who tag along because they don’t trust their boyfriends (out of jealousy or suspicion) and that’s the worst scenario. They’ll make passive aggressive remarks to the dancers, or complain about how much money their boyfriend is spending, blah blah blah.
