1. Rick’s Cabaret (315 Bourbon St., 524-4222; www.iknowrick.com)
With dancers beckoning from the door or the railing of the grand winding staircase to the second floor, Rick’s Cabaret is one of the most noticeable clubs on Bourbon Street. Since opening in the 1990s, Rick’s has been one of the city’s most upscale and polished gentlemen’s clubs. It’s modern in design and full of amenities including a state-of-the-art sound system, VIP rooms and memberships. Monday Night Football is broadcast on widescreen TVs on both floors and the Friday buffet lunch has been an attraction for more than a decade.

To read the Gambit results in its entirety, visit Best of New Orleans 2011: Entertainment and Nightlife
For those readers unfamiliar with the publication, Gambit is a well respected arts & entertainment magazine in New Orleans. Its restaurant & bar guide and local entertainment news coverage is usually spot on. However, I’m not sure if I’d take these rankings at face value. They’ve never really covered strip clubs and these results are the exact same from the 2010 poll results. That and Rick’s advertises quite frequently in Gambit, which might influence rankings.
